Comfort Sleeper Sectional wins a Good Design Award

What's better than the best? Good. The Chicago Athenaeum's Good Design Awards, an international competition, has spoken. The organization that has recognized products like the iPod, iTouch, Riedel's Swan, the Bionic Hand, Mercedes GLK, and the Traveling Fireplace....

Good company, no? American Leather's new innovative Comfort Sleeper sectional is about to join the ranks of these illustrious products in June 2010. The Chicago Athenaeum has bestowed this very prestigious award on the Dickinson Comfort Sleeper. My those judges have good taste.

Can you tell me where I can find information on the modern fireplace shown (black frame/glass enclosed) sitting on a hardwood floor with couch in the background? Thanks!

I bought the comfort sleeper. It was delivered on July 16th with seat cushions that sag over the front edge of the sofa causing guests to slide off like it's a kiddy slide. As of today, October 7the, the new cushions have not arrived.

If it takes one month to build the sofa, how long should the cushions take?

Should I blame Scott Jordan, the retailer? I sent an email on the American Leather website. Will American show some pride in its product and support it past the point of sale? Has American Leather won any awards for customer service? Will this be a happy ending for me and my wife? I'll be sure to keep you all posted.

I bought this couch ten months ago, and in that time frame, I have had the coushions replaced twice.( The first time 3 weeks after I bought it.) There is not enough support to the middle of the seat cushions and they collapse when you sit down, and you feel like you are sitting in a hole. The sleeper portion of this couch is wonderful, but the couch is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat on. An American Leather Rep. came to assess the situation, and decided it was because the foam cushion in the foot portion of the sleeper was too soft and therefore not supporting the seat cushions. He ordered new foam for that portions of the bed and also new seat cushions, since they were sagging again. After about 8 weeks, they had been replaced. NOW 5 weeks later they are beginning to sag again. I really don't want to get rid of this sofa, because I love the sleeper portions of it. When you pay $3,ooo dollars for a couch you expect more than this. I don't know what else to , but ask for a full refund.

We purchased the king size comfort sleeper about 9 years ago for a small condo. It is by far the best sleeper sofa on the market. We purchased it in leather, and while the leather has held up well and looks great, the cushions slide off the couch without a no slip rug pad underneath the cushions. Otherwise, we have been very happy with our purchase. We are looking to buy another one for our home. Any guest who sleeps on the sofa says it is the best night's sleep they have ever had!
